General

Hey Titans! Are your drawers or closet cluttered with clothes you don’t wear or fit in anymore? If so, there are numerous places to which you can donate those unwanted items that will benefit impoverished people around our community. Do your part and remember EVERY Monday Matters

A new “Do You Know What You Owe?” list has been posted in the Activities Office window. Please check it to see if your student number is on there. Reminder to seniors – all debts must be cleared prior to participating in senior activities. See Mrs. Teixeira if you have any questions.

Clubs and Classes

Key Club leaders training today in Mrs. Hatfield’s room 150 at lunch.

Attention ETS students: There is an ETS meeting Wednesday during lunch in the computer lab for ALL grades. If you have your completed ACT prep course permission slip, you may turn it in to your ETS advisor during this time. If you have any questions or can't make the workshop, please see her in the Career Center located inside the library after school or during office hours.

Upward Bound students - remember to attend our lunch meeting today at 12:14 in the library conference room.

Special Olympics Best Buddies! This is a reminder that we are meeting in the gym on Wednesdays and Fridays during 5th period. We have a few athletes who still need buddies. Please show up if you can. Thanks from Coach Hubbell.

The Special Olympics will be held on May 6th. Please come support your Nipomo athletes! If you are interested in purchasing one of our shirts for $10 to support the students of room 200, please see Mrs. Teixeira in the activities office.

Juniors and Seniors! Do you want to get a job this summer AND take a college course at Cuesta College? Then the Bridge Program at Cuesta is for you! Students will take a 3 Unit career planning course, complete a PAID job assignment on the Cuesta campus, and learn about college programs and resources that are available to them. Transportation is available to Cuesta. See you counselor for more information!

Seniors

Check out nhstitans.org, Academics Tab under scholarships, for local scholarship opportunities.

Any seniors who still need to order a cap & gown or custom announcements, go to www.centralcalgrads.com

Community Service

Need to earn community service hours? All students are invited to the Cesar Chavez Park, located in the Nipomo Regional Park on March 26th from 9am until noon for a fun workday. Bring your gloves and garden tools and show up ready to work! There will be pizza and soft drinks provided at noon. Thank you to all students who have come out to help!

Sports

March is National Athletic Training month. Bring your lightly used athletic shoes throughout the month of March to Mrs. Silveira’s office after school. They will be sent to One World Running, a non-profit organization that provides shoes to those in need in the US and abroad. Please see her for more information.

Good luck on the road and at home this week to all out Mighty Titan Teams!
