General

The library will be closed this Thursday.

Students - If you received an invitation to the Titans Awards Ceremony for this Thursday evening, please report to the gym at 12:00 today for a quick rehearsal.

Students, the big moment is finally here! Summer school applications are now available in the counseling office! Classes fill up fast, especially Government and Econ, so turn yours in asap!

Are you ready to sail your ship to victory this Titan Olympiad week? Come by today to the Activities Office counter to pick up a boat regatta packet! Boat Regatta packets are due May 12th.

T minus 13 days until Prom! Come join us at the Golden Ball. Ticket sales have begun and will end May 18th. The cost is $45 with an ASB card and $50 without. Get your guest passes in the Activities Office. Guest passes are due on Wednesday, May 11th. No exceptions!



Do you know what you owe? Don’t be ineligible for all the upcoming activities! Check with the Activities Office to make sure your debts are paid. A new list as of 04/27/16 has been posted in the office.



Clubs and Classes

GSA meets today at lunch in room 135. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Do you have career plans for your life after high school? Are you feeling pressured to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life? Would you like someone to help you understand yourself better and then help you develop a career plan that you can get excited about? If this interests you, sign-up on Mrs. Davis' clipboard outside her office in the admin building and she will contact you.



Attention ETS students: Don't forget that permission slips for Summer Jam are now available outside the Career Center in the ETS Drop Box. You don't want to miss out on a day full of fun activities and a chance to meet other TRiO students. Also, if you are Senior and haven't met your ETS advisor for your Senior Exit Interview, you have tomorrow and next Wednesday to complete this. She will be available at the Career Center from 8am to 4:20pm.



Seniors

Attention Seniors attending Grad Night at Harry Potter World. There is a mandatory meeting during lunch this Thursday in the forum. We will be assigning busses and going over important information. If you can’t make this meeting, see McConnell in room 113.

Are you talented? Want to participate in Senior Showcase? See Mr. McConnell in room 113 to learn more about how to try out. Please do this by tomorrow at the latest.

Are you interested in performing the National Anthem during graduation or being the Speaker at Large? The tryouts are Wednesday, May 11th. See McConnell in 113 for details.

Senor Powder Puff! There will be a mandatory meeting in room 113 during break today.

If you did not pick up your Jostens order last week, you may pick your order up in the Activities Office.

Community Service

Grover Heights Elementary school is in need of students looking to finish their community service volunteer hours. We have our end of the year celebration with a silent auction on May 20, 2016 from 5-8pm at the Avila Valley Barn. Please contact Tara Warwick at 540-4444 or [email protected] if you would like more info or to help. Students will be helping with check-ins for dinner, Silent Auction and games.

Today is Food Distribution Day at Nipomo Elementary School. They need student volunteers to set up, distribute and clean up. We start organizing at 1:30 and go till about 6:15. If you can help out, please let me know which shift or shifts you'd like to work. We appreciate all the help we can get. We need help with all shifts. The set-up (includes sorting of clothing) and wrap up shifts could use some additional people.


Sports

Athletics Clearance Night for the 2016-17 school year is coming soon! Thursday night, May 19th from 6-8pm in the NHS Gym. Purchase your clearance packets in advance from Mrs. Teixeira at NHS or Ms. Lujano at CCNTHS. $80 for clearance packet with physical night. $45 for clearance packet without clearance night if you are going to your own doctor for physical. Both costs include your ASB Sticker purchase.



All athletes must have clearance to participate in any practices, including summer. Get in and purchase your packet AND come to the clearance night event on May 19.
