General

Titan Olympiad shirts are in! If you pre-ordered a t-shirt, come pick it up on the quad today at lunch. Also t-shirts will be sold for $10 for all classes today on the quad. Titan Olympiad shirts are limited!

Hey Titans! Remember that every Friday is Titan Friday, so wear your Titan gear or Titan colors and show your pride!



Reach, an original musical created and performed by local talent and students, will be performed this Friday and Sunday night at 7pm and a Saturday Matinee at 2. Reach takes us on a journey through the eyes of Alexis, a high school senior determined to create a successful future, as she faces the challenges of her senior year. Join us for lots of singing, dancing and honest exploration of what it means to be a teenager today. Tickets are $10 for students (pre-sale) and $2 more at the door. Tickets can be purchased from any cast members or from Mrs. Teixeira in the office.

The Just One Job Fair is coming to Nipomo High School. Today from 3:00 to 4:30 pm, local employers will be available in Olympic Hall to meet students and consider you for a summer job. You must be 16 or older to attend and you must bring copies of your resume to give to prospective employers. For a list of employers see Mrs. Cummings, Mrs. Lemons, Mr. Rodrigues, Mr. Gracia, Mr. Pole, Mr. Lindgren, Mrs. Cooper, or Mr. Magdaleno.

Summer school applications are now available through June 15th in the counseling office! Classes fill up fast, especially Government and Econ, so turn yours in asap!

Do you know what you owe? Don’t be ineligible for all the upcoming activities! Check with the Activities Office to make sure your debts are paid. Current debt lists are



Library Reminder - all library books (not textbooks) are due back to the library this Friday, May 20th.





The Library is hosting Bingo after school today. Prizes include books, Loot crate items, gift certificates and more! Everyone is welcome and it’s FREE!

Clubs and Classes

Attention all incoming AP World History students… There will be a mandatory meeting with Mr. Houchin at the start of lunch on Wednesday, May 25th in the Forum to discuss course expectations and to assign summer work. You will not be officially enrolled in the AP World History course unless you attend this meeting. Don't be late.

Leo Club Meeting at Lunch at the Forum today! We will be doing officer nominations for next year. So stop by and nominate yourself or a friend. See you Thursday! Coach Edwards.

Dance Company auditions are this week! Girls audition today Thursday and guys audition Friday May 20th. Turn your application into Ms. Belo in the girl’s locker room or room 103 ASAP!



Seniors

If you did not pick up your Jostens order, you may pick your order up in the Activities Office. Orders recently paid in full will be delivered to the Activities Office. Check to see if yours has arrived.

Community Service

Grover Heights Elementary school is in need of students looking to finish their community service volunteer hours. We have our end of the year celebration with a silent auction this Saturday, May 20, 2016 from 5-8pm at the Avila Valley Barn. Fairgrove Elementary is looking for volunteers at their annual school Carnival on May 27, 2016 from 3-8 pm if any students who need service hours would like to come help. Contact [email protected] if you are interested.



Sports

If you have not heard, softball had a huge win Tuesday afternoon at Bell Gardens in East LA (13-0). Coach Paradis and crew will now be traveling today to play St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura. The game will take place at 3:15 at Ventura College.

ALL Girls interested in playing summer basketball, there is a mandatory meeting in the Forum on Tuesday, May 24 at the beginning of lunch break.

Attention boys interested in playing JV Boys Basketball for the summer: JV tryouts to make the summer team are this Saturday, May 21st from 2:30-4:30 in Johnson Gym. Be prepared to compete as that is the only day of tryouts. See you there. Coach Lundberg



Attention boys interested in playing Varsity Boys Basketball for the summer: Varsity tryouts to make the summer team are on Wednesday, June 1st, from 7:30 - 9:30pm and on Friday June 3rd from 5:00-7:00pm. See you there. Coach Hyun



Athletics Clearance Night for the 2016-17 school year is tonight, May 19th from 6-8pm in the NHS Gym. Purchase your clearance packets in advance from Mrs. Teixeira at NHS or Ms. Lujano at CCNTHS. $80 for clearance packet with physical night. $45 for clearance packet without clearance night if you are going to your own doctor for physical. Both costs include your ASB Sticker purchase.



All athletes must have clearance to participate in any practices, including summer. Get in and purchase your packet AND come to the clearance night event tonight.

Come support your 9 NHS football players who are playing in the FCA All-Star game this year at AG High on June 4th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from Coash Dodge or any football player.

All freshmen, sophomores and juniors who want to play football next year, Spring Football starts this Friday, May 20th. Bring your cleats and shorts and meet at the practice field by 3:15. You must have a sports clearance packet turned in to participate. See you there!
