General

Library Reminder - all library books (not textbooks) are now past due. Please return all library material immediately.



Looking for a few good Leaders! That's right the ASB Leadership Class has room for a few more Leaders. If you want to be involved, plan and put on a variety of events and be a role model to your peers, than ASB Leadership is for you. Pick up an application from the Activities Office counter or see Mrs. Anderson in room 131. Applications are due Friday, May 27th.

Summer school applications are now available through June 15th in the counseling office! Classes fill up fast, especially Government and Econ, so turn yours in asap!

Come get crafty in the library, we’re making custom mosaic frames! Our last after school craft event is this Wednesday, from 3-5pm. Space is limited. Stop by the library for more information.



Do you know what you owe? Don’t be ineligible for all the upcoming activities and yearbook distribution. Check with the Activities Office to make sure your debts are paid. Current debt lists are posted in the office.

Hello? It's Me. I was wondering if you'd like to meet the brand new improve troupe, the Hysterical Artists. They are presenting their very first show next Tuesday, May 31st in Olympic Hall. Doors open at 6:30 pm, tickets are $5. Support your fellow classmates as they play The Dating Game, Story Story Die, and make you laugh so hard you become hysterical. Thank you so much. GSA meets today at lunch in room 135. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Thursday at lunch robotics meeting in room 106 for anyone interested in becoming part of the team. If you want to learn building, programming, marketing, or be our website manager please come to the meeting. You will compete and have the chance to travel. Join the winning ways.

Juniors and Seniors: Do you know what you want to do after high school? Are you interested in any of the many fields of construction? A rep from our local Carpenters Union will be here on Wednesday during 5th period in the library computer lab. Whether it is framing, plumbing, electrical, etc., come hear about all of the great careers you can have through construction. A sign-up sheet and presentation passes are available in the library.

Key Clubbers! Today at lunch, come say goodbye to seniors and welcome newcomers with pizza and Titan Pride in Hatfield’s room.

Upward Bound lunch meeting today in the library. This is a mandatory meeting for all UB seniors. Come by to do your senior exit survey and pick up your certificate and gift. If you cannot make it to the lunch meeting, please email Kari Leslie at [email protected] to set up an alternative date. If you have not picked up your fall stipend check, those will also be available.

Attention all incoming AP World History students… There will be a mandatory meeting with Mr. Houchin at the start of lunch on Wednesday, May 25th in the Forum to discuss course expectations and to assign summer work. You will not be officially enrolled in the AP World History course unless you attend this meeting. Don't be late.



Seniors

If you did not pick up your Jostens order, you may pick your order up in the Activities Office. Orders recently paid in full will be delivered to the Activities Office. Check to see if yours has arrived.

Community Service

Fairgrove Elementary is looking for volunteers at their annual school Carnival on May 27, 2016 from 3-8 pm if any students who need service hours would like to come help. Contact [email protected] if you are interested.

Sports

ALL Girls interested in playing summer basketball, there is a mandatory meeting in the Forum today at the beginning of lunch break.



Attention boys interested in playing Varsity Boys Basketball for the summer: Varsity tryouts to make the summer team are on Wednesday, June 1st, from 7:30 - 9:30pm and on Friday June 3rd from 5:00-7:00pm. See you there. Coach Hyun

Congratulations to all our Titan teams and athletes who made it to CIF playoffs. We are very proud of you! We have one athlete still in the running - Jon Johnson will be playing on Thursday, May 26 for CIF Tennis Individuals in Carpinteria. Good luck Jon!!
