General

It’s Homecoming Week! Today is Ruby Slipper day, Tuesday is Munchkin Mix ‘n Match day, Wednesday is Which Witch is Which day, Thursday is Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My! day, and Friday is Class Theme day.

Library News - The winner of last week's Library Loot Crate drawing is Kara Mitchell! Congratulations Kara…stop by the library to pick out your prize. Remember every time you return your library book on time you can enter to win a prize from Mrs. Matsuura’s Loot Crate Prize cabinet!! A winner is drawn every Friday.

Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, October 12th. If you missed the first picture day, make sure you go! Pictures must be on file in order to get an ASB or ID card. Order forms are available in the office lobby and at the Activities Office.

Attention students, if you and your family don't have a computer at home please see Mrs. Kia. The Exploration Station organization is able to give families that qualify a computer for $25. Please see Mrs. Kia for more details.

Library reminder: Any books checked out from library during the first week or two of school are now past due. Please stop by the library to renew or return your past due library books today. This does not include your textbooks.

Come get crafty in the library! Wednesday is our next after school craft in the library from 3-4:30pm. All supplies are provided for free and everyone is welcome. Stop by the library for more information.

Reminder - After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Teen's Closet is open on Wednesdays from 12-4 in Room 142. Students are welcome during lunch and after school.

Are you living in an unconventional living situation? Are you staying with someone outside your immediate family? Do you stay in various people’s houses? Are you not living with a parent or legal guardian? Are you without housing? If any of these situations apply, you may qualify for a program that will help you and give you lots of free stuff! Clubs and Classes

Juniors and Seniors​ - CSF applications are now available in Room 138 or with Ms. Cuzick in the front office. There will be an informational meeting in Room 138 on Friday September 30th where we will elect officers.

GSA meets on Tuesday at lunch in room 135.

Seniors

Seniors...If you thinking about taking the SAT one more time the deadline for the November 5th test is October 7th. Sign up at collegeboard.org. See your counselor for more details.

All seniors who are going to be filling out the FAFSA or the Dream Act application, come to the career center on Mondays, all day, during the Fall semester to see Lizbeth Mendoza from Cal SOAP. Students can make appointments with Mrs. Nunez or Mrs. Lattimer in the counseling office. Both the FAFSA and Dream Act applications open on Monday, Oct. 1st.
