Happy Halloween!

Reminder - After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Teen's Closet is open on Wednesdays from 12-4 in Room 142. Students are welcome during lunch and after school.


Titans! This week is Gravity Water Week. What’s Gravity Water? It is an organization that provides water filtration systems to countries that don’t have access to clean water. Come out tomorrow to the quad at lunch to “Buy a Drink for a Drink”. Tomorrow’s drink will be a Shirley Temple which you can purchase for $1.00. Wear blue on Friday to support Gravity Water!

Trick or Treat! Are you ready for Halloween? Today at lunch, go around and trick or treat our very own NHS classrooms! Who will come out getting the most candy? Reminder, you must be in costume to participate in trick or treating.

Flag Football Intermural will be November 1st – 3rd and finals will be November 8th – 10th at lunch.

Dominican University, located near San Francisco, is a small private University with degrees available in Arts, Social Science, Business and Natural Sciences. The student to teacher ratio is 16:1, and 92% of all undergraduates receive financial aid. Come hear more about Dominican University tomorrow during 1st period in the library computer lab. The library will be open on today, so please stop by and sign up for this presentation.

Attention all students: If you are interested in attending the Engineering and Computer Science Presentation on Wednesday, you must sign-up in the counseling office no later than Tuesday at break. If you have signed-up to attend, check with Mrs. Davis on Tuesday or your 1st period teacher on Wednesday to find out which period you are attending.

Are you not living with a parent or legal guardian? Are you without housing? If any of these situations apply, you may qualify for a program that will help you and give you lots of free stuff! Girls Basketball meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, at lunch in the Forum. Come meet new JV head coach Emma Weinreich and get tryout information.

Recently at the SLO County Invitational, NHS girls cross country team finished a strong third place behind Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo! Our top finisher was Jackie Lopez followed by Mackenzie Wisneski and Flor Hernandez. The boys finished a strong fourth behind Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande and were led by Joe Gocke. This week is our league final where we’re hoping to place and move on to CIF prelims. Great job Titans!

Tryouts for the Titans Boys Soccer team will take place today through Friday from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. at the soccer fields south of the softball field.

Attention Girls Soccer players!! Preseason practices continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm. Pre-tryout work outs are Monday November 7, and Tuesday November 8. Tryouts will be on Wednesday, November 9 and Thursday November 10 and are scheduled for 3:15 to 5:30 pm. Come out and be part of the effort to repeat as LPL League Champions!


To participate in any of these sports activities, you must have your sports clearance and physical done. For instructions or forms see Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office.
