General

The Activities Office will be closed today.

Did you know the water crisis is the #1 global risk, based on impact to society? Come out to the quad at lunch to purchase Italian Soda for $1.00. All proceeds will go to Gravity Water.

To end this week with a bang, we will be starting Miracle Minute in 20 seconds. In this Miracle Minute, students will grab out spare change and donate. The second period class with the most donations raised will receive a pizza party. Get those hands ready! We will donate in 3! 2! 1! Go!

Flag Football Intramurals continues today and finals will be November 8th – 10th at lunch. Come on out to the back field at lunch to watch some football action.

Are you interested in possibly pursuing a career in a Public Safety field such as Law Enforcement, EMS, or Firefighting? If so, you should consider participating in the upcoming Skills USA contest. Mr. Lindgren and Mr. Pole will be leading a team of students who will be competing in either a CPR, Firefighting, Criminal Justice, or CSI competition against other high school students. If you are interested, there is a mandatory meeting at lunch on Friday in room 148.

Clubs and Classes

Attention Juniors! Jostens will be on campus for the ring delivery and make-up order day today in the quad at lunch. It’s not too late to bring your $50 deposit and your order form! Extra packet are available in the Activities Office.

Seniors

Seniors--The Oceano Five Cities Elks Teenager of the Month scholarship application is due to Mrs. Conrad November 17th! There will be 8 student (4 male and 4 female) representatives selected with the chance of receiving $2000 in the spring. Get your app in today.

Community Service

Nipomo Food Distribution will be on Tuesday, November 8 (the second Tuesday of the month) at Nipomo Elementary School. Organizing starts at 1:30 and distribution goes until about 6:15. Sports

Attention all male athletes interested in wrestling this year! There will be a mandatory Wrestling meeting at lunch today in the wrestling room. Please get food, then head to the wrestling room. Come meet Coach Bryson and Coach Bello.
All ladies interested in playing softball this year, there is an important meeting on Tuesday, November 8th, at the beginning of lunch in Coach Paradis' room 40C.

Tryouts for the Titans Boys Soccer team continue through today from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. at the soccer fields south of the softball field.

Any girls want to wrestle? There is still time to join the NHS Girls Wrestling Team. Come to the track after school all this week at 3:00 to get started.

To participate in any of these sports activities, you must have your sports clearance and physical done. For instructions or forms see Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office or go to the NHS website.

Saturday

If our girls win on the road in Ontario, we will be home for CIF Quarter Finals on Saturday (vs winner of St. Monica Catholic and El Monte). That time currently sits at 7pm. Will update everybody on this possibility on Friday morning. Stay tuned.
