General

In honor of and gratitude to all of our Military Veterans, there will be no school tomorrow.

CIF Football will be at Home on Friday vs Paraclete at 7pm. Tickets will be $10 for general admission and $5 for students and children. ASB Cards will not be honored at CIF games. Presale tickets are available in the Activities Office! Avoid the line at the gate and get yours early!

Back by popular demand...Do It Yourself Wands in the library! For those of you who missed out last time, here's your chance. Next Wednesday, November 16th, we'll be making wands from 3-4:30pm. Everyone is welcome and it is free! Stop by the library for more info.


Reminder - After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Clubs and Classes

Join Project Teen Health's Club Meeting and get info on upcoming events! We meet today during lunchtime in the library's conference room. A lunch will be provided!

Calling all Frisbee fans…We will be playing Ultimate Frisbee this Friday at 3:00 on the athletic fields next to the girls’ softball diamond. Bring water, running shoes and a desire to run!


Seniors

Seniors, don't forget that Cash for College is coming up Wednesday, November 16th from 4:00 - 8:000 in the NHS library. Students who attend with their parents can complete their FAFSA application that night and possibly receive financial aid to help pay for the cost of college. Remember, students who want to get the Cuesta Promise scholarship must also complete their FAFSA.

Sports

Boys Basketball Tryouts - Attention all boys wanting to try out for boys basketball. Tryouts are happening this week. JV and Varsity combined tryout tonight from 6-8pm in the gym. If anybody has any questions about boys basketball tryouts please see Athletic Director Russ Edwards.


To participate in any sports activities, you must have your sports clearance and physical done. For instructions or forms see Mrs. Teixeira in the Activities Office or go to the NHS website for more information.


Sports this week

Here is our athletics CIF report for this week. Water Polo, Cross Country and Football still alive and competing!

Water Polo won on Tuesday 8-3 over Oxnard! Our boys will now HOST #1 seed Corona High School today at 3:30pm. Come on out and support our coaches and Boys Water Polo players!

Cross Country - at Riverside Cross Country Course on Friday. They will leave school on Thursday to travel down and will stay hotel rooms. Compete on Friday, back Friday evening.

Football - Home on Friday vs Paraclete at 7pm. Tickets will be $10 for general admission and $5 for students and children and will be available in the Activities Office from 7:30 am to 3:45 pm today. ASB Cards will not be honored at CIF games.
