General

Happy National Cotton Candy Day! Come out to the quad at lunch to satisfy your sweet tooth while you play the present guessing game also today at lunch on the quad!

Hey Titans! Do you ever fell like what you wake up in is warmer than your everyday clothes? If so, roll out of bed and stay dressed in your PJ’s for this Thursday’s spirit day. Also, be sure to come out to the quad at lunch for our cereal guessing lunchtime activity!

Get ready to show your stripes Titans! Wear your ugliest holiday sweater this Friday and really bring in the holiday spirit with a good laugh!


Hey, do you need help on your finals? Come to the AVID sponsored Study-a-thon next Monday and Tuesday after school in the library to get some help. It's open to everyone! It starts at 3:00 and goes until 5:30 both days, and it’s a great opportunity to get help for your finals. There will be snacks and drinks to buy during the Study-a-thon, so just bring your work (and maybe a friend) and get better prepared for those finals.

Library News - Need to cross some gifts off your holiday list? Stop by the library and get crafty. Today after school is our After School Craft in the library from 3-4:30. We'll be making fish tank ornaments and bird's nest necklaces. Free! Everyone is welcome.


Teen's Closet is open on Wednesdays from 12-4 in Room 142. Students are welcome during lunch and after school.

The canned food drive has started and will continue through Friday December 9th. All donations are greatly appreciated. The second period classroom with the most canned foods donated will receive Old West cinnamon rolls! Happy Holidays!


Clubs and Classes

Renaissance Members! It is that time of the month again Scholars! Come out to the Quad on Friday, Dec 9th to pick up your Renaissance “Treat Yourself.” Just a little something sweet before finals. Be sure to bring your Renaissance card! Fa lala lala, la la la la!

No Zumba today after school, use that time to study up for finals!

Join Project Teen Health's last club meeting of the semester will be on Thursday in the library during lunch! We will discuss events for next semester as well as ways to stay motivated over the break. Food will be provided.


Attention ETS students: Today is the last day your ETS advisor will be on campus for the semester. If you receive a request slip from her today, please see her in the Career Center by the end of the day. She will be available during lunch and after school until 4:30pm.

Today is the day your Titan Robotics team is holding a fundraising event at Chipotle in Santa Maria. Come out and support them by mentioning Titan Robotics when you check out.

Calling all FNL and invited FNL guest leaders. Today's meeting will be in the forum. Come to the forum at lunch for this once in a high school opportunity and yes there is pizza. Again, today's invite-only meeting is the forum. See you there.

You are invited to the Nipomo High School Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 8th at 6:30 pm in Olympic Hall. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for students and staff. Children under 12 are free! NHS staff and students attending will get free hot chocolate!

Shrek the Musical will be performed Friday the 9th at 7pm and again on Saturday, December 10th at 2-4pm and 7-9pm in Olympic Hall. Students are $10, general admission is $12. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:00!


Seniors

Grad Night tickets are on sale now! Come purchase your ticket in the Activities Office for $85 to reserve your spot! Get them before they’re sold out because there are only 150 tickets available!
Attention Seniors!! Did you miss ordering your graduation items last week? Jostens will be on campus one more time for a Senior Graduation Make-up Order on Thursday, December 8th on the Quad only during break. Don’t forget to bring your $60.00 deposit and your order form. Extra packets are in the Front Office.


Community Service

Nipomo Food Distribution day is next Tuesday, Dec. 13th. There will be lots of additional activities going on in December with many donated used and new toys and books from all over the county as well as some new children's clothing to be given away. There is the usual clothing giveaway as well. SO...they need lots more help in all shifts. Sports

The Boys Wrestling team is looking for three Stat girls to help keep stats during matches, take pictures and record matches. Must be smart and have good penmanship. If interested come by the wrestling room after school and talk to coach Bryson.
