General

Are you living in an unconventional living situation? Are you staying with someone outside your immediate family? Do you stay in various people’s houses? Are you not living with a parent or legal guardian? Are you without housing? If any of these situations apply, you may qualify for a program that will help you and give you lots of free stuff! Call 474-3000 extension 1107 or let a teacher, counselor or administrator know. We are here to help.

After school tutoring is available in the library from 3:00-4:00 every Monday - Thursday.

Teen's Closet is open on Wednesdays from 12-4 in Room 142. Students are welcome during lunch and after school.


Clubs/Classes

Valentine's singing grams will be sold for $3 every day at lunch next week. There will be a table in front of the music building, in the quad and in the library. Buy a gram for your loved one, friend or favorite teacher!

What happens when you mix sweet treats, flamingos and laughter? The most awesome improve show, “single and Ready to Flamingle.” Hysterical Artists next show is this week, Thursday, February 9th. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:00pm.

If you love music, dance, and want to get fit, listen up! Project Teen Health is hosting Zumba Workouts this and every Wednesday after school in Room 103. All levels welcomed!


Seniors

Go on our scholarship website to check out the many scholarship opportunities out there for graduating seniors. Many scholarships are due soon, so go to nhstitans.org under Academics and click Scholarships OR check your LMUSD email address for more info.

Don’t miss out on the once in a lifetime Grad Night experience! There are currently 92 tickets left! Get yours in the Activities Office for $85.00.

Seniors who are attending Hancock College next year---
Tuesday, February 7th, the Hancock Counselors will be in the Library Computer Lab to help you complete the Hancock Application. Sign up for a spot in the counseling office. On Tuesday, February 14th, Hancock will return to administer the START Placement Test in English and Math for Hancock. Again, sign up in the counseling Office. You cannot take the Placement Test unless you have registered for Hancock and have an H number. If you have questions, see Mt. Hubbell or Mrs. Kia.

If you are interested in running the middle distance events on the track team this year (800, mile, 2 mile) preseason practices have started from 3:15-4:30. Come on out and be part of something great!

Track alert for distance runners: preseason training continues this week on Tuesday and Thursday at the track. For those who want to run the 800 the mile or the 2 mile, this is for you!
